Tax rates for the rich explanation- rebloggable by request
What the writing of these paragraphs doesn’t understand is that Alot of people that are “Rich” worked really hard to get where they are and shouldn’t have to be penalized because they were successful at what they do.
No, I’ve considered that, and you know what I’ve found? The people who started out poor and truly worked their way up are the ones who acknowledge nobody was born in a log cabin they built themselves and they should pay a higher tax rate because they remember what it was like to need a hand.
There is no such thing as a totally self-made man, and you know what? It’s not about punishing people for being successful, it’s about making a better world where people who have more than they need are asked to do their part so no one has to live in squalor and poverty because they don’t have enough to survive on.
It just bothers me that “sharing is caring” seemed to have died when we left Kindergarten.
It’s about fulfilling the social contract. The rest of society helped prop you up with various and numerous programs to attain your success, so now you should give back to support that system.
