I’ve never understood why there isn’t a class you have to take your senior year of high school called like “Life 101” where they teach you how to do taxes and pay bills and make resumes and how credit works and explain what in the ever living fuck a mortgage is

^ this is such a fucking necessity.

They used to.

Those programs were cut when the budgets were decimated under Reagan.

In a lot of schools, “Shop” and “home Ec” were also cut.

It changed the face of schooling.  And, even more importantly, it wasn’t a single lass they taught you.  It was taught as part of the regular school stuff.

When you think about the election this year, think about which party destroys stuff like that.

and then think about why it is they want dumb people who are angry and scared of everything.
